Just below Taormina, near our villa home for the week, Isola Bella shimmers in a thousand shades of Ionian blue
Ancient stones, sea breezes, and Mount Etna stealing the scene
A hilltop village where old Sicily, sweeping views, and The Godfather legends still linger
A recently renovated villa, a table set by the pool, and the Ionian Sea in view— the kind of setting that makes even breakfast feel unforgettable
Soft light, elegant comfort, and just enough blue beyond the window to remind you Sicily is waiting
Taormina at its most charming: piazzas, church bells, café tables, and Etna never far from view
Sicilian wine tastes even better with Mount Etna puffing quietly in the background
A small-group Sicily journey for lovers of sea and volcano, ancient cities, cinematic villages, noble tables, and Taormina as a beautiful home base
Join us for a refined small-group Sicily tour based in Taormina, where beautifully curated days unfold along Sicily’s Ionian Coast in the shadow of Mount Etna. From a beautiful villa setting with sweeping views of the sea and volcano, this one-home-base journey brings together ancient beauty, cinematic landscapes, noble hospitality, distinctive Sicilian cuisine, and the ease of settling into one extraordinary place for the week.
There are few bases in Sicily more alluring than Taormina. Perched high above the sea with Mount Etna rising in the distance, Taormina is elegant, dramatic, and wonderfully atmospheric. Its ancient lanes, sea-view terraces, Greek theater, gardens, boutiques, cafés, and golden evening light make it a destination in itself — not simply a place to sleep between excursions. Here, the setting becomes part of the rhythm of the week: mornings with views, days of discovery, and evenings that invite you to linger.
From our Taormina base, we’ll explore the layered beauty of eastern Sicily. We’ll visit hilltop Castelmola, with its sweeping views over the coast, and spend time in the storied Godfather villages of Savoca and Forza d’Agrò, where cinematic history meets quiet lanes, stone churches, and unforgettable Sicilian vistas. These are places that feel suspended between sea, mountain, memory, and myth.
We’ll also journey south to Siracusa and Ortigia, one of Sicily’s most atmospheric seaside settings. Here, Greek, Roman, Baroque, Arab, and Norman influences come together in a remarkable old town of piazzas, palazzi, markets, churches, sea walls, and sunlit stone. It is the kind of place that reveals Sicily’s complexity beautifully — deeply Italian, yet shaped by so many cultures that it feels entirely its own.
This is Sicily through the Hub & Spoke lens: personal, intimate, and beautifully curated. We’ll dine in remarkable private settings, including meals in noble homes with a real baron and a real contessa, where hospitality, history, and family tradition come together around the table. These are not ordinary meals; they are windows into Sicilian life, lineage, and generosity.
We’ll also learn the island through its cuisine in a hands-on Sicilian cooking class, exploring the flavors that make this region so distinctive — citrus, pistachios, seafood, almonds, wine, spice, olive oil, and sun. Sicily may be part of Italy, but its table tells a more layered story, influenced by the many civilizations that have passed through and left something behind.
We’ll experience the drama of Mount Etna through an Etna wine tour, tasting volcanic wines grown in mineral-rich soils in the shadow of Europe’s most active volcano. And because this is Taormina, we’ll take to the water for a White Lotus-inspired boat ride on the Ionian Sea, passing the luminous coves, cliffs, and coastlines that made this corner of Sicily unforgettable on screen.
This is a Sicily journey shaped by beauty, comfort, depth, and ease: one elegant villa setting, unforgettable views of Etnaand the Ionian Sea, exceptional meals, cinematic villages, ancient places, volcanic wines, and curated days that bring together the very best of Taormina, Siracusa, Ortigia, Mount Etna, and Sicily’s glittering eastern coast.
Ortigia where early 3,000 years of beauty rise from the water’s edge, where golden stone meets the soft blue rhythm of the sea
